Global Warranty Manager (m/f/d)

TASKS:
  • Warranty Management:
    • Driving reduction in overall ZKW-wide warranty cost
    • Determining and introducing pro-active preventative warranty countermeasures into product, assembly processes and business systems
    • Coordinating customer-specific warranty processing across multiple locations
    • Developing and driving resolutions to complex claims
    • Supporting sites in evaluating warranty agreements and negotiating with customers
  • Contractual Involvement:
    • Reviewing contract terms, focusing on warranty clauses
    • Communicating and negotiating with customers at all levels in the management of normal and special warranty/field cases
    • Assisting with reconciliations from RFQs and contract negotiations
    • Participating in warranty-related contract discussions and ensuring cascaded reviews within the department
  • Risk Management:
    • Proactively addressing risks identified during ongoing warranty evaluations
    • Initiating cross-location assessments and implementing measures for overarching warranty concerns
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Regularly reviewing the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) status with QCMs of all locations
    • Evaluating and visualizing warranty processing at a group level, broken down by location and customer
  • Coordination, Collaboration and Communication:
    • Coordinating with the Quality Control Managers (QCMs) of various sites to discuss ongoing warranty cases and negotiations
    • Facilitating cross-site information exchange on warranty-related activities such as analyses, corrective actions, and measures
    • Collaboration with ZKW functions including Technical, Legal, Sales and Insurance
  • Audit Support:
    • Supporting locations in audit preparations concerning warranty provisions

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Technical educational background (e.g. Bachelors or Master’s degree)
  • Several years of professional experience in automotive quality management as well as within Warranty Management
  • Comprehensive background in quality education and processes
  • Extensive negotation and communication skills as well as commercial know-how
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong intercultural competence and ability to work across different locations and regions

  • Gross monthly salary according to collective agreement from € 4,673.74, with appropriate professional experience significant overpayment possible
